The JPII boys lacrosse team scored twice early in Tuesday night’s matchup with West Carteret but the Patriots rallied back in the 2nd quarter and never let up.

What Happened
The Saints captured a 2-0 lead early in the first quarter with goals from junior Thomas Keeter (assisted by Britt Gauquie), and an unassisted tally from senior Justice Vail. The Saints spent much of the 2nd quarter on defense and were unable to generate much offense. The halftime score was 4-2 Patriots.
The third quarter allowed the West Carteret Patriots to hold their lead, adding three tallies and not allowing a goal by the Saints. In the fourth quarter, Thomas Keeter scored by way of Britt Gauquie, for their second points of the game.Â
In goal for the Saints was junior Bryce Keel, who ended the game with 48 minutes played and 5 saves.
