Several personal bests along with one school record prompted some members of the track and field team to take a quick impromptu celebratory trip to Wrightsville Beach after the Seahawk Invitational at UNC-Wilmington on Saturday. Hannah Kaoud, Kathryn Kaoud, Lilly Lyon, A.J. Koesters, and Tyler Moore set PRs. Additionally, Gabe Lewis used a 70-second final lap to propel himself to a school-record time of 5:05.96 in the 1,600. JPII will close its regular season with a last-chance meet on Friday in hopes of getting a few athletes on to the state championships May 19-20 in Winston-Salem.
