Freshman JT Williams threw a gem on Tuesday for the Saints, allowing zero runs in a complete game outing.  Williams allowed only two hits and three walks while stricking out seven.  It was Williams first career high school complete game and shutout.

The Saints offense came to life in the fifth inning to win 12 – 0 in five innings over the host Wayne Christian Eagles.

JPII improved to 10-7 overall and 5-3 in the CPIC.

The Saints managed to put up single runs in the second and third innings against a very good Brandon Benkovics pitching for the Eagles.  The Saints then exploded for ten runs in the fifth inning.  The offense in the big inning came from walks by Axel Keller, James Donofrio, and Keller (again), singles by Max Mason, Noah Sugg, and Aaron Gregory, and a ground-rule double by Williams.

Williams, Sugg and Ray Shaw all had two hits to lead the Saints offense.  The nine hits overall were rounded out by Mason, Gregory, and James Donofrio.  Williams and Mason both had two RBIs on the day.

The Saints are back in action at home on Thursday at 4:30 when they host Greenfield in a CPIC game.  In their first meeting on March 28 at Greenfield, the Saints prevailed 7-4 to a solid Greenfield team.
